Inspections Manager – About the role:


The Inspections Manager will provide operational oversight, leadership, and coordination of our US-based utility inspection teams.


The role is ultimately responsible for the program management, successful execution (field & office), and delivery of our major US-based contracts in the utility inspection sector.  This role will specifically focus on safety, quality, schedule, and budget with the support of a number of supporting positions.


This role will be responsible for managing the customer interface and relationships for all aspects of utility inspection project execution and will support sales efforts in expanding our services and products.


Inspections Manager – Responsibilities:




  • Ensuring the technical requirements of utility inspection projects are specified and understood by the delivery team
  • Ensuring successful delivery of multiple projects in multiple locations and time zones to meet contractual commercial, quality, and safety specifications
  • Interfacing with the field operations teams and the client to troubleshoot throughout the project covering all aspects of delivery
  • Delivering project reviews and lessons learned to continuously improve service and delivery and technical innovation
  • Understanding industry trends to ensure service and product development, including working closely with our R&D & software teams
  • Ensure field audits are happening on a regular basis
  • Coordinate and support Field Supervisors
  • Support field incident investigations


Commercial and Finance


  • Through a deep understanding of the commercial terms of each project and the businesses strategic goals, drive efficiencies and identify commercial opportunities to the senior management team
  • Manage project delivery and reporting requirements
  • Seek opportunities to maximize profitability while not compromising safety or quality
  • Build strong relationships with clients in keeping with Cyberhawk values to build Cyberhawk reputation as leaders in terms of delivery, innovation, reliability, and quality.


Leadership and People


  • Client Relationship Management and Contract Management
  • Deliver a high performing proactive utility field inspections team
  • Ensure the technical skills are in place to deliver complex projects across multiple clients to maximize flexibility while maintaining deep technical knowledge and technical competence
  • Develop the team to focus on safety, technical excellence, and innovation, providing opportunities for development and progression for all.
  • Deploy resources to deliver development as well as performance objectives


Qualifications, Experience, Competencies:




Bachelor degree (Technical or Field Operational focus)


Knowledge and skills:


  • Industry knowledge of key sectors:
  • Extensive knowledge of managing utility inspection program management
  • Part 107 (with 100+ hours of direct utility inspection experience)
  • Power transmission & distribution inspection
  • Expert Knowledge of visual data capture techniques
  • Understanding of Photogrammetric techniques
  • Strong people management skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience of working in multiple cultures and in different time zones
  • Experience of financial aspects of PE-backed companies
  • Knowledge of industrial digitization
  • Knowledge of commercial drone operations
  • Strong HSE background
