New Operations Managers Bring Extensive Experience in Drone-Based Inspections of Utility Asset Infrastructures

DENVER – February 29, 2024 – Cyberhawk™, a global leader in drone-based inspection and surveying services and visualization software, announces expansion in its leadership to meet the needs of its rapidly growing field operations team. This comes in response to increasing demand for the company's popular transmission and distribution asset inspection capabilities with its Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs) and sophisticated iHawk™ cloud-based data visualization, management and analytics software.

To enhance its service offerings within the power utility, energy provider and capital construction sectors and maintain its position as a leader in the industry, Cyberhawk welcomes a team of seasoned Operations Managers. Each brings extensive experience in aerial inspections, surveys and conducting precise assessments of elevated, challenging-to-access structures and facilities.

With an extensive transmission maintenance and GIS project management background, John P. Hansen, PMP, will serve as Manager of U.S. Operations. He will oversee UAS operations and spearhead efforts to further enhance Cyberhawk's aerial inspection capabilities, which are crucial for wildfire mitigation and powerline integrity. Additionally, Hansen will oversee initiatives in oil and gas assessments, emission monitoring, and tracking the progress of capital construction projects. Hansen has a B.A. in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Minnesota, a Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Project Management from Colorado State University, and PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.

"I am thrilled to become part of the Cyberhawk team, driven by the significant potential to apply my skills and expertise in utility asset management, fire mitigation, and geospatial technology to elevate our current operational team and address the market's needs. I am eager to play an active role in the ongoing advancement and expansion of Cyberhawk's U.S. operations, collaborating closely with an established industry-leading team and valued customers," noted John Hansen.

"John joins us at an exciting time at Cyberhawk. We are growing significantly in all our U.S., Europe, and Middle Eastern locations. John's vast expertise and leadership will be instrumental as we continue to innovate and expand our services to meet the evolving needs of our clients and industries. We're excited to have him on board as we embark on this journey of growth and excellence," stated Phil Buchan, Cyberhawk's COO.

Further additions to the UAS management team include Scott Lashmit as U.S. Aviation Manager and Tony Rappa as U.S. Field Operations Manager. An FAA Part 107 licensed pilot and a Pix4D certified photogrammetrist, Lashmit will handle complex UAS operations for Cyberhawk, including FAA regulations and Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) authorizations and compliance. Rappa, an FAA-certified remote commercial drone pilot, brings extensive Remote Pilot-in-Command (rPIC) experience to the team and will manage flight operations and daily collection of utility assets.

Cyberhawk uses trailblazing drone and data analytic technology to conduct aerial inspections, surveys and close-quarter aerial inspections of high, live, and difficult-to-reach structures and facilities. By leveraging drones, the company provides clients with comprehensive and accurate data to support informed decision-making and ensure the integrity and safety of critical infrastructure.
